Rental period

Minimum rental period is 2 day (48h) with acceptable length delay of 1 hour. Any further delay is charged as an extra day.

Driver’s age and driving license

Minimum age 25 years and maximum 70 years for all car groups. Driving license must be issued at least 1 year before rental start. Driver must hold a valid European (for EU countries) or International (for countries that don’t belong to EU) driving license.

Additional driver

In a car rental only the driver is covered by all above insurances. If other drivers are going to drive the rented vehicle they must be declared in the lease contract at the start of the rental period. Required documents are identity card or passport and a valid driving license. The additional driver service is charged per day.

Vehicle delivery and collection

Delivery or collection of the cars is free. The rental period begins with the delivery of the car and always ends the next day at 8:00 a.m. unless there’s a different agreement between the driver – renter and the company. If the police removes the signs of a car for any kind of breach of the Highway Code (e.g. parking on ramps), the driver must compensate the company for the appropriate daily rent. Finally, the driver will have to pay the daily rent for as long as the car plates are foreclosed by police.

FULL Insurance – Εxcess damage deposit

A specific amount will be held on your card for the duration of the rental. The deposit is a guarantee held in the event of excess damage/theft of the vehicle. This will be automatically released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period. The amount depending on the car will be:

– Wrangler Sahara:1500€

– Land rover Discovery: 500€

– Hyundai Bayon or similar: 500€

Company Insurance

The company covers all cars with a fully comprehensive insurance. The driver – renter is covered for fire and theft, wheels, tyres, screens and underside of the car. Any damage to the third car, the vehicle of a third party is covered by the insurance. Personal accident insurance covers all persons involved, including the driver – renter.

Insurance coverage is NOT valid:

  • when transporting the vehicle by ferry
  • if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • for damages caused by driving on unpaved roads
  • for interior damages
  • for loss of personal belongings
  • for accidents caused by a driver not declared in the lease contract
  • for loss or damage of the vehicle key
  • for loss or destruction of additional equipment
  • for damages caused intentionally or by negligence
  • damages caused by incorrect fuel
  • for damages caused as a result of a breach of the rental agreement’s terms and conditions
The cost of damage or loss of the car is paid even if the tenant is insured by a credit card or other insurance company. In this case, the tenant is obliged to pay the entire vehicle repair or replacement costs and then ask for a refund from the credit card or another insurance provider. IN CASE OF ACCIDENT THE TENANT IS OBLIGED REGARDLESS OF FAULT, TO COMPLETE AN ACCIDENT FORM, ACCORDING TO ARTICLE K70 OF THE GREEK LAW.

TAXES

All rates and charges in this contract are subjected to V.A.T. 24%. FUEL consumption is payable by the driver – renter.

Deposit and Credit card Information

ACCEPTED: MasterCard, Visa, Cash. Debit card not accepted. A deposit amount of 800,00 to 1500,00 EUR (depending on car group) will be held against your credit card for the duration of the rental. Your deposit is a guarantee held in the event of excess damage/theft of the vehicle. This will be automatically released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period. NOT ACCEPTED: Prepaid cards A valid credit card in the first name and surname (no abbreviations) of the lead driver must be presented at the rental desk in order to pre-authorise a deposit. The credit card(s) must be embossed and a PIN number may be required. In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver’s name, the car rental office may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Payment methods and security of transactions

The rent can be paid with one of the following ways:

  • credit card, debit card and prepaid card of Visa, Mastercard, Maestro
  • bank transfer
  • cash
The estimated charge is payable in full at the beginning of the rental period. Credit cards are accepted. Money can not be returned. Regardless of payment a credit card (Visa, Mastercard) is required for guarantee. The car rental office will pre-authorize the liability amount until the end of the rental period.

Traffic violations

The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines. In case that the renter will not pay the fine, Drive will charge the fine cost plus administrative expenses.

Fuel policy

All cars they should be returned with the same quantity of fuel in the tank as on delivery. If the car is returned with less fuel, there is a charge of 30€ for refuel service  plus the cost of the missing fuel. Extra fuel left in the tank is not refundable.

Extras

On request are available equipment like Baby Seats, GPS Navi with a charge per day (maximum charge 10 days). They should be mentioned in the reservation.

Transportation by Ferry boats

Allowed only with prior written agreement with company. Please note that any damage to the car in transit will be not covered by any insurance.

Limitations

The cars are not allowed to be used for: Driving outside the island, carrying heavy objects, flammable materials e.t.c or bad use in general. Vehicles returned in bad condition and with extremely dirty interior (e.g food stains, coffee, etc.) will be charged for special cleaning with cost up to 00€.

Booking cancellation

In case of cancellation up to 10 days before pickup date, the full prepaid amount is refundable. In case of cancellation within the period of 10 days prior to pickup ZLC will hold the half amount of rental.

Fleet availability

The company reserves the right to provide a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher model type.

Rental agreement

During receipt of the vehicle a rental agreement is signed and contains the above terms and conditions.
